Whether this is simply due to COVID or wider market realisations and acceptance that franchising is the answer to people wanting to step out and own their own business I don’t know – it doesn’t matter.

What does matter, however, is that the whole business scene has altered immensely in recent months.

But of course they missed to point entirely.

We weren’t telling people they were invincible.

We were saying that you can be afraid (everyone was shit scared) and still go ahead and do something.

Trust me. Standing at the beginning of the ‘walk’ and feeling that radiant heat and seeing these glowing coals was enough for most people to experience extreme self doubt. The danger warning bells were ringing loud and clear.

Just like they are for you – whatever you are afraid of – be that speaking in public, facing a bully or parachuting.

Sure the panic button is easily pushed at such times.

But should it be?

Should you let fear run (ruin?) your life?

Is it OK to not do something simply because your imagination has concocted some fantasy in which you get devoured?

I get it that the fear is real – but what you have imagined happening is probably never going to.
